If you add them the price comes in to under a thousand, I didn't add the mouse keyboard and monitor but did take them into consideration

You're going to have bottlenecking issues with that CPU/GPU. Downgrade the CPU, upgrade the GPU. 560 Ti is a good one. Hell, if your budget is simply "under $1000", just upgrade the GPU.

8 GB of RAM is total overkill. Don't bother with that. 4 GB is enough for anything.

1 TB of HDD is also kind of overkill. 500 GB should be plenty unless you have/pirate movies. Get a 6 GB/s SATA drive.

Oh, and a floppy drive is good too if you don't have one. You might need it to install drivers, you never really know.

The PSU should be fine. Plenty of power, and bronze certified. The only thing that I could really see being a problem is that it doesn't come with a power cable. But that's only if he doesn't have one already. They're all universal anyway.

Antec PSUs are some of the best. They are super quality, like the organic food of the computer world.
And it's 80+ Bronze.
