Secretly it's a nuclear torcreep thing, sorry if that's a spoiler.
But those keels actually do exist, they're quite commonly seen on racing sailboats and they too look loosely attached

They don't weight much, they're hollow.
Also, I reckon I have about 2 hours of work left on the app before it's done, what time would be the best to show it to the clan to get it judged?

The best thing to do is look for me online (friending me on IRC helps with that)

I might be on later tonight. In single player, duplicate it up into the air so that when you load it it won't overlap. Then dup it into the water.

Problem: it uses a couple (4) private add-ons (music and prints) and trueno's colorset, can I just put it up in my server and let you join real quick? I could also make a slightly different version without the super cool music sfx but that'd kill some of the detail.
