But seriously though, why make something to make people remember such a terrible thing? It only brings back memories and traumas from 10 years ago when this happened. I remember seeing a family on TV that was relieved that their 19 year old daughter was in the other tower(she called and said "Don't worry, I'm in the other one!") and 10 seconds later, they saw the other building collapse too. I feel bad for everyone whose family members or other loved ones died in 9/11. I have no idea why people want to remember this horrible thing. I remember being only 3, although I was still shocked of seeing that.
Light can never be appreciated without darkness, a full moon could never be fawned upon if it never went away, and all the same happiness is meaningless if there was never any pain. People shouldn't hold onto tragic dates and happenings because of anger, because of hatred, because of a lust for vengeance. People should move on. But forgeting from where you came, ignoring that which you witnessed, or putting your head down and just trying to drown out the noise's life will only make you feel more pain, whether it be down the line in an event or constantly within a heavy heart. It is in a balance, of Love, of respect, and of grief that one should remember. And it is in such memories, such grief, such Love that one should find the power to forgive.
