Will it help get rid of the virus?

Will it help get rid of the virus?

It will remove ANYTHING that has been put on your computer up to the last time you updated your CPU

Your friend is probably an idiot. Restore it to system defaults.

Check her history to see what she does.
Then install anti-virus programs if she doesn't has any.

Or just wipe it, that works too.

No.
If it's a reasonably advanced virus, it will either disable the System Restore feature altogether or will infect it, causing the virus to be there after a restore again.
Also, updated your CPU? I think you've used the wrong wording there.

This happened to my old computer when I was dumb with what I download.

My dad restored the computer to a specific date. No idea how though I was 12 at the time. But if you can find thatt via google you can just go back to when she didnt have the virus

/actually helpful

I find it rare to get one of these viruses, however

If that doesnt work, however, perhaps Malwarebytes will help him?
Close enough
