Despite not wanting to start anything, I want to respond to this.
The reason people are more sad about 9/11 is indeed because it's on american soil. It could of been you in that tower working today or someone in your family. Just like when military units die in the middle east it's a sad thing. Just because they have family too doesn't mean we should be sad about when they die. Just like how people die on american soil not from terrorist attacks only the family affected is sad.
However the death of a person is never something to rejoice about.
I agree with part of it, but the reason that people freak out about 9/11 is because we are all very patriotic and that we haven't had a major attack on our soil by foreign attackers since the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. so for anyone who hadn't experienced the Pearl Harbor attack, it is indeed a big deal.
But the part i agree with you on is some people who don't understand the Al-Qaedan situation that jubilantly celebrate the assassination of Osama bin Laden never think about the affects of the killing, that Al-Qaedan wont stop at his death, the terrorism will continue for a long time after, maybe even some fold due to the patrot-esk feelings of the Al-Qaedan groupies.
I would like to take the time to give remembrance for all the families and relatives that lost their lives that day in the four crashes of passenger jets 11, 175, 93, and 77 into the twin towers, the pentagon, and Shanksville, PA. May their families and their souls be at peace with the world.
