Author Topic: Does anyone remember Bionicles?  (Read 3413 times)

Nope.  The original are the Toa Mata.  Then there were the Toa Nuva, followed by the Toa Metru, followed by the Toa Inika, followed by the Toa Mahri, which were then followed by the Toa Phantoka and Toa Mistika.  Also, the evil ones were always cooler.

C is concerned. So forget off with your stupidass post 2004 bullstuff.

I had 2 of thees things you could make into balls.

By little brother used to buy them (the bad newer ones) when they still were made.

bohrok, those were loving boss

bohrok, those were loving boss

I have all six of them.

You forget off.  This isn't just a pre-2004 Bionicle thread.  This is about Bionicles in general.

Started sucking after 2004, tbh. I expected a more cyberpunk type city from metru-nui so I was pretty disappointed by that, but I still liked the second movie. After that it was trash.

AFAIC, when you say "toa" you mean the original loving toa.
i agree that everything past metru nui was bad

AND NOTHING ELSE. Post-2004 canister sets were just assemble-it-yourself action figures with no gears or mechanical parts. The only interesting sets from after the visorak arc were those large sets like Kardas Dragon.

The Barraki were some of the most epic Bionicles ever.  They were made in 2009.

The plural for Bionicle sets is usually still "Bionicle."

And you were talking to me. When you talk to me about Bionicle, mentioning anything about anything after 2004 will grant you a mark of stupidity in my eyes as well as lots of swearing.

Storyline wise they were loving stupid and set-wise they were meh.

2009:  Everyone on the forums hates me for being too much of a Bionicle fan.
2011:  Everyone on the forums hates me for not being enough of a Bionicle fan.

What the forget happened here?

I wonder how they're doing now...
Oh, Hero Factory.
forget it all.
*bullet to the head*

*sudden revival*
I'd always go over to my friend's house and we'd forget around with Bionicle sets. I swear, he must have set up a plan with Lego or something; every time I'd come over he'd have the latest set sitting on his dresser.

The appeal to me was building my own figures out of pieces from other sets.

I like how they made a new shooting thingy every year. :3

I actually agree with you.

I loving loved the original sets but I ADORE aquatic stuff, so the Barraki were just like heaven for me.

The 2009 ones were pretty neat.  The Squid launchers were a bit of a failure, but they were pretty cool when they did work.  As for the Kordak blasters, those things were EPIC!

YES!  :D

I made a custom clip for the Piraka's guns before they made the official clips in the Toa Inika sets.

Bionicle got a bit foolish once they had to make a certain piece for everything.
