I always just ignore the actual point of the game and find maniacal ways to eliminate my opponents (railroad crossings are your friend) as well as building uber transportation systems and trying various trains on them.

OpenTTD is the best :D

Cities XL had a planet city type of thing going on that required a monthly fee.  Except nobody coughed up and the company was going deep into bankruptcy, that's why 2011 was made even though it was the same loving game with maybe a few patch fixes.

Yeah CiM is fun, but it needs to be like OpenTTD where there are multiple, randomly generated cities.
Or even one randomly generated city lol

There are TONS of newgrf mod for ai cars.
