I have one question to ask about applying.

I plain to app with a evented, working theature. I was going to base it off a build I saw on youtube. Now heres my question. My app is a evented thing, but its also desplaying a video. Could I app for the events section, and the filming section? or no?

SUDDENLY, ACTIVITY.

So Eksi and I have been discussing plans for a Blockland Music Video project. I got the idea for it after listening to "First of the Year (Equinox)" by Skrillex. The video will consist of a group of 5-10 people dancing with a light show around them, while cars have street races in the surrounding area.

How will we make Blockheads dance without looking stupid, you ask? Eksi has a program called DSQ Tweaker (for those of you who don't know, which I'm like 99% sure all of you do, a Blockhead's animation file extension is .dsq) that he used to make this video. We will be utilizing that program to make custom dance animations, similar to those seen in this video. The streets are based on areas from Saints Row: The Third. Eksi will be taking in-game screenshots of these areas to give us better references for replicating them in Blockland.

This is an official Krypt project (it's also the first and only Krypt project), so that means everybody has to contribute.

Krypt Manor is being put on hold for another time. I strongly wish to do the video project I'm talking about here.

WE NEED:

• Builders
• Eventers
• A modeler
• A scripter
• Actors (Not everyone can be an actor. You must be able to follow directions to the T and be able to give your full, undivided attention to the directors.)
  
• Eksi will be filming (no this is not up for debate)
• I will be doing the editing (also not up for debate)

This is a serious project and we need all the help we can get. I'd even be willing to accept help from non-Krypt members.

Mak, if you could do me this favor, it'd be great. Create a new subsection in the OP for current projects. Include a description of the project, who's working on it, what job they have, and a server status or two (Eksi's and possibly mine, plus anyone else who can host).

Please respond to this post and tell me what you're willing / able to do.

the biggest problem I foresee is the licensed music recognized by Youtube. Although, I know a lot of songs just put a little "buy on such and such" notice rather than being like forget YOUR NON-PROFIT CREATIVITY

Yeah, and if Atlantic decides to take down the video, we can put in a fair use dispute.

Copyrighted things hardly ever get taken down anyway. Companies see it as free advertizing. The only reason they'd take it down is if it was terrible and given bad publicity.

So don't make suck or it will get taken down.

i have this week out of school, so i can help.

We're going to need at least one vehicle to be modeled and scripted. We're definitely going to be using Phydeoux' Turismo vehicle and possibly another already-made vehicle if we can find one that looks very sports-car-ish. Actually, I just thought, if you guys could work on modeling the car from Nitronic Rush, that would be loving fantastic.
