Author Topic: My school has finally got the iPads running  (Read 2623 times)

Damn you people.
My school doesn't have any of that..
My school only has these old early 2000's computers.

BTW, each iPad costed 500 USD. A MacBook costs about 1,000.
A Windows Laptop can cost even less than $200.

My school district only uses Dell Optiplexes for desktop workstations (such as tech lab). You will not find another PC in the entire loving district.

Your district is spending too much money. That is why the government is in debt.

I hate how schools are all switching to Macs. It's probably because they're "less hackable" or some stupid stuff, when I used to be able to control the screen of the kid next to me.

You can do that with a Windows OS even easier if you know how.

there are 3-4 schools in the entire district, the largest having about a thousand kids. Its not a big district.

Also, the laptops and tablets are brand new.

Imac G4's, Emacs, and Dell Optiplexes are the desktops. My school district makes stuffty tech decisions. G4s and Emacs are from 2004, the Optiplexes are probably the same time.

Hence the less hackable part?

Anyway the school district that I was at before this one was still using a record player.

No you can't.

I wish my school did cool stuff like  this :(

Hence the less hackable part?
Actually, our library uses Windows XP on their computers again lol

Macs were much easier to abuse.

Right on with that bro.
Jesus christ, change your avatar.
Why do you even have a kid that has a serious issue as an avatar.

Oh, :P my old school had like early 90s computers too, and they didnt have blocks so whenever we went to the lab we played the pre-installed Oregon Trail.

We have XP pcs and 1 smart board.

Computer classes are 30 minutes, and only on days 5,6 and 1. :c

Very true.  There's little "control" software written for Mac OS X I think, and a LOT more "control" software for Windows.

My school has a baseline standard of Windows 7 and Core 2 Duo powered desktops in any room with a computer.  Very few still have XP.
