Author Topic: Compare your Processor.  (Read 2169 times)

RULES:

1. Hyperthreading isn't loving cores. 4 cores + 4058783734746 threads from hyperthreading doesnt mean you have more than 4 cores.

2. Server Cores allowed.

3. Based off Core Amount & Clock Rate, that means your quad at 1.60ghz = a single core at 4.80GHZ.

4. Age also counts, your 8GHZ Core 2 Quad doesn't compare to my 2GHZ 8 core Bulldozer (like thats ever gonna come out).

5. Mobile Cores you suck.

Current:
1. Blaman - Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.8GHZ - 4 cores
2. Tails - i7 920 @ 3.20ghz - 4 cores
3. Eightfold - i5 2500 @ Stock (3.30GHZ) with 4 cores.

i7 920 overclocked to 3.2ghz

I have the same processor as the OP but it's the unlocked edition.

Edit:

Running at 3.3ghz (I know, I suck)

Phenom ii x4 965 BE overclocked to 3.8Ghz

AMD phenom II x4 925 processor. 2.8ghz

I can understand #2 at most, but everything else is bullstuff.

1. Hyperthreading = forced two threads per core, er go, its a pseudo-octacore.
3. No.  Just because I have a Core i7 930 at 2.8 GHz does not mean it is equal to a singlecore at 11.2 GHz.  This is not logical math and I don't understand why people come up with this.  Each core is just at 2.8 GHz.
4. An 8 GHz Core 2 Quad would probably still stand at least equal to a 2GHz octacore.
5. Dependent on the mobile processor.  A low end Core 2 Duo is obviously not great, but there are laptops with Core i5s from 2.2 to 2.6 GHz.

That being said, I have a Core i7-930 down at 2.66 GHz for cooling reasons.

Intel Celeron 2.70 GHz

:)

Generally most of a joke thread, clock contest GO!

turbo boost in mind motherforgeters: i7 2600k wins.

intel atom at 1.60 ghz
lol

AMD Turion II Ultra Duel-Core Mobile M620  2.50 GHz

Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5250 1.50GHz (2 CPUs)

Pentium.

That's all I have to say.

intel atom at 1.60 ghz
lol
Damn, i wish i had a processor that good.
