Author Topic: Steam, how come you keep acting up?  (Read 2451 times)

Great, so Steam Guard is deciding to say this is a different computer I'm logging in from, and they want me to enter the code thing they're asking for, but last time this happened on another one of my accounts, I never got the e-mail. So now, I have to make a new account.

Steam was acting up earlier, not connecting to the servers.

Damnit Steam, you're so useless.

If this has happened before, why didn't you just disable Steam Guard?

The email is probably in your junk box or something

Steam likes to forget up.

I mean, come on, when there's  steam in my bathroom, eventually it goes all "forget dis" and suddenly everything in the room is damp and moist.

Checked my spam and mail folders, and nothing.

And Steam didn't tell me I could disable it.

So now all the games I had are now down the drain unless Steam decides to actually help instead of being idiots who give me information I already read.

Your email was probably hijacked too then.

I have Steam Guard set to my gmail account which is set to my mobile #.

Odd. When I made my alternate account, I made an e-mail just for it. The password is very good too.

I hate steam, i'm not going to download it on my new computer.

Me and my brother were in the middle of a quest in Dead Island :(

Steam works fine for me, the guard code thing is annoying but I rather that then to loose my account. Its a much better system then most programs/websites, for example Blizzard, they're just loving stupid when it comes to security.

Much better my ass.

Is steam guard affected by having a Dynamic IP, because I always get that loving annoying message every time I try to log in without using the Steam program.

Actually, it's happening in and out of the program.

If I try to log on via the website, it still gives me this message.

And on the program, well, that's what the OP is about.

Steam sounds like a douche.  Maybe PM Steam Support with situation will help?  Sorry for your loss :c

Oooh if I lost my valve conplete pack, terrairia, mwf2 and vvvvvv i'd be sadd :(

I did this last time it happened too, All Steam Support did was be idiots and tell me what they had on the website.

Which I tried doing.

And as we speak I still don't have the e-mail
