Author Topic: Tumbling Gore  (Read 17286 times)

When I visited A Twigs server a while back, he showed me his gun pack.
Then gave me the link to this.
After finding it on the web, I thought... Why not release it here?
So I did.

I'll upload pictures later.

Death when still

Bloody hell, theres blood everywhere

More blood

Look at all the forgets I don't give, they are just flying from the sky.

NOTE: I don't recall him saying about not posting it here. So don't say anything like that.

NOTE2: And yes, I did search for Tumbling gore, it came up with two people talk about it.

So when you tumble you bleed? i dont see any point

I give this a day until it fails.

Since I'm going to avoid flipping stuff over you not telling me that you posted this, let me explain;

This mod does the following:

1. Tumble On Death (Uses code from Tumble On Death 2)
2. Gorey Explosion (It was NOT released because I haven't gotten the permission for the gore yet)
3. Only bug is bots do not tumble.

It does work though, I got credit from the creator of the Tumble On Death script, but I have not yet for Blood and Gore (That's the mod). I forget the creator of it, if you see this post, do you mind giving permission? Sorry that this person posted it; it was under no control of me so I do not take the blame for this post being made.

Not recommended for servers that have a majority of handicaps, fun activity i made with this was kamakazi bodies. Jet fast, Self Delete at the direction of the target, pointless fun.

NOTE: I don't recall him saying about not posting it here. So don't say anything like that.

I didn't think it was going to get to that extent lol.

Also; I remember you from one of my Fort Wars, yes. You were skeptical about them loading, then you load and you're all "Wow these are amazing!" and I'm saying "You want them?" ect.

That was V1. I came out with a V2. and V3. series of the carbine (Carbine was discontinued)

I now am making a new future type of weapon pack, more than likely private, but If you ever catch my server open join it and test what I've made. They're several times better than my old carbine I can assure that.

And you didn't ask him yourself if you could release it, do you see whats wrong here?

Then why did he release it on other forums?
Where'd you think I found it?

1. Tumble On Death (Uses code from Tumble On Death 2)

I thought Badspot failed Tumble on Death-mods because they broke/messed his game up?

Can you get tumble to work for my banana mod?

I thought Badspot failed Tumble on Death-mods because they broke/messed his game up?

If the tumble is packaged, then it should be fine.

Why tumble-on-death was removed and should never be re-created

It makes it look like the game is broken.  It looks fine when you're by yourself in a single player server, but in a multiplayer game when you're connected over the internet there is a huge delay between when you die and when you tumble making the game look broken.  Often the vehicle has moved several meters before it is ghosted to you, so when the player is mounted on it they warp to it or simply disappear if the vehicle is out of view.

Often times if a player is killed while standing still, the tumble vehicle remains upright and the player just stands there after they are died and the game looks broken.  If someone is killed in a doorway, the doorway is blocked for several seconds.

It lags the game to stuff.  Vehicles are not exactly the most efficient things in in torque, especially when you're creating a bunch of them at once and cramming them into piles of bricks like what happens with tumble on death in a heated deathmatch.  It simply creates too much of a strain on the cpu to be justified for a cutesy effect.

Vehicles are given priority network updates.  In a death match there are many people dying and tumbling all the time and there are so many vehicles bouncing around that there isn't enough bandwidth left for you to see normal player movement smoothly.  You start seeing people warp around and appear in front of you mysteriously and the whole experience just goes down hill.

I understand that rag-doll effects are cool but this is not the way to create them.  Please stop fighting me on this issue.

Honestly, I don't experience that using this add-on.

Under what conditions? Large scale deathmatch with many people actively fighting?
