got to the second last desert level
got to the area with several basic tanks
i had no explosives
so the pros got raped again
while one fresh recruit zipped past them, raped every non-barracked footsoldier and made off underground with the nuke

apparently the "pros die first, noobs survive" in my gameplay is a running gag now

then it got somewhat averted in the following bossfight
