The FWN Lioness was rocked by an explosion a few hours ago while patrolling off the Fockewolfian coast. No enemies were in the area. The crew says it was a bomb, as the blast was actually tiny but set off the ammunition in the main magazine. The ship was almost blasted in two, and has taken on a 6 degree list. She took on water but the honeycomb design saved the ship from sinking. 24 crew members were killed, and 4 more were killed in the resulting fire. Over 80 men are injured. The LPDs Yellowknife and Thames are tasked with evacuating crew off the ship and then towing it to Sioux.
The Lioness will be scrapped, and the metals recycled for another destroyer.
