1: Killing everyone in Whiterun.
2: Use Iona as a follower, not Lydia. Iona doesn't give a stuff if you kill Whiterun, she's a Stormcloak supporter or whatever. Not that I am, she doesn't care either way.

Something to due with the wanted status. It messes up some NPCs, like Delphine in some quests will attack you if you have a bounty in Riverwood. I was killing in Riverwood, wandered off from my follower Iona while she was killing, and when I came back she started attacking me. Which sucked because it turns out I equipped her pretty good with my old armor.

I sent Lydia away and when I went on a rampage in Whiterun, when I enetered, Lydia was all "REBEL AND JOIN MASTER" And fought off three guards solo.
