Oblivion had copy paste dungeons. Skyrim most certainly does not. They obviously use some of the same resources for same types of dungeons, but they should. A draugr burial place should look similar to another.
Well all Gamebryo games use the same two or three kits for all the dungeons. Sure the artist try hard to make them look like they have more variety, but they still get kind of repetitive when the're made out of the same building blocks.

go ahead and download the creation kit and look at the variety of kits available.
also this isn't a Gamebryo game, it's a Creation Engine game.

yes its basically an upgraded gamebryo, but it was made from scratch

Yes, it sucks that 95% of quest are in caves, but they are NOT copy pasted, and when I get home I can show you.

If you look in creation kit you can see that most of the building blocks are used 500+ times. Of course any game will re-use set peaces a lot, but the problem with Gamebryo games is they relay on the too much. Every dungeon might have a different layout, but most of them look and feel the same.

It's basically comes down to openness vs variety. A linear FPS doesn't have much room too explore, but can have a ton of variety. Skyrim on the other hand has a large world to explore, but in order to meet size and practicability limits it has to sacrifice some variety. I'm saying that I would like some more variety in the main quest, even if it means the world would have to be slightly smaller.

Elder Scrolls is focused on the open world. its one of the best features of the game

Yeah I understand that exploring is one of the main points of the game, but it's kind of disapointing they don't feature the open world more in the main quests.

finally, a use for my kinect
Its completely useless.
To shout, you would have to memorize all the shouts you want to use, and you have to yell it. I dont want to be the weirdo next door who yells at his TV.

I'm assuming they are only doing this because of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z83wzJwrBK0

Someone made Kinect functionality for Skyrim, and it became popular even though it was at least mainly private. They are just introducing it professional grade and it is optional. I wonder if they'd decide to introduce this if that video was never made...
