Using the soul gem on a weapon with an enchantment to recharge it will destroy the gem entirely, unless you have The Black Star or Azura's Star.
But, the enchantment on the weapon does deplete (thus why you have to use soul gems on weapons to recharge them)

Before skyrim was out i was like MAN I LIKE OBLIVION WAY MORE THEN FO3 AND F:NV (I don't actually like NV.) and now that i'm bored of skyrim, I just want another fallout with the skyrim engine.
