Considering TF2 has literally no compression whatsoever, it's not that crazy.
Ok yeah you've got a good point but it's still pretty big.
Well, SC2 is 10 GBs and I bet there are other relatively new games that are way bigger compared to this.

have any of you guys listened to the Bethesda Podcast?
I didn't know it existed until recently and just started listening to it this morning.
The older episodes date back to more than a year ago, so I'm listening to old news, but its still entertaining.

One of the things I love about BGS is that they give equal attention to all the platforms. They acknowledge the fact that they sell the best on consoles and work to make sure that the games are optimized and everything for those. But they still acknowledge the fact that pc gamers have been with them since the beginning and are sure to make sure that we don't suffer.
Though the UI usually could use some work, but mods usually fix that in a jiffy.
they don't really need to focus on making the pc graphics superior. all they really need to do is lay out the foundations, they know that modders will make the game look 3x better. they should push for the console sales. any legit elder scrolls pc player knows not to worry about shipment graphics.

But what if you don't care for graphics?

i'm too lazy to search.
what's this mutation/lifestyle thing?

I mean optimized in ways other than graphics. I don't really care about graphics, its gameplay that matters to me.
Skyrim could look like Morrowind and I would love it just as much, though it couldn't look like Arena or Daggerfall, those are just hard to look at in this day and age.

Referring to vampirism, lycanthropy, and cannibalism. Cannibalism is more of a lifestyle choice, and I suppose "mutation" isn't the best word for the former two compared to something like "affliction".

yeah
mutation was the first word that came to mind at the time.

Probably because cannibalism as a game mechanic(unless I'm mistaken) was first implemented by Bethesda in Fallout 3.

But what if you don't care for graphics?
then you obviously don't have good graphics. sure gameplay is more important, but saying you don't care about having nice things is just stupid. usually the only people who don't like nice things are the ones without them. basically the only people who don't prefer nice graphics are console gamers.

I nominate this post for dumbest thing ever written.

graphics are the most important thing in any game. without them the game is just dumb. i mean who likes games like minecraft with crappy graphics besides console noobs. skyrim will suck for all systems besides pc no matter what happens ever. skyrim was meant to be played on the pc for pc it can hold 64 players UNLIKE the xbox 24 player max limit!

But Skyrim is singleplayer only.

I take it back. This is my nomination.
