What this face is ":c"
When I say normal, I mean someone who isn't very internet-ly fitted.

It means a sad face, but in a more innocent manner than ":(". The latter expresses experience or deep-set sadness/depression while the formor implies a more shallow "U hurt mai feelins :c" sort of thing or merely a less extreme hurt or sadness.

But but it's not just a frown.. It can be used in multiple contexts..
So..
Like admitting to something..
"Yes I like My Little Pony :c.."
or...
(can't think of them right now.)

That implies you are ashamed to agree with me whether it be because I'm me or because of the opinion itself. It may also be a cry for help in that you have to agree with me for whatever reason, but you don't wish to.

:Y vs :U

Discuss
They each can be used interchangably to express shyness or nervousness. ":U" may also act as a neutralizer for statements as well in order to present an honest opinion which may be insulting (For example, "That sweater is not nice on you. :U"). ":Y" may carry a negative connotation under certain contexts (For example, if prompted with "How do you like my sweater?" one may reply ":Y" in order to express negativity toward it with less concern for the party involved than if they used ":U")
