":u"can be used to assist "ou", but only under conditions that it is to a cheesy comment or you didn't find it all too funny (i.e. Extended pity for it and the shyness that comes from such). The "ou" or a similiar comment must accompany it, though, in order for its usage to be proper.

What about ";-;"?
It expresses crying, pain, and or misery (Example: "Nobody Loves me ;-;"). It may also express a previous and or implied trauma (Example: "And that's when Kira invited me over his house... ;-;"). Under certain conditions it may express great fear.
