Author Topic: Why so popular, You Gaming Console?  (Read 1874 times)

PCs are like the Capitalists of the gaming world; the more it costs, the better it is.
Consoles are like the Communists; every one is the same. Same cost for the same quality, all across the board.

No installation on a console is the biggest thing.  Also a controller that comes mandatory with the console is a plus.

The higher the cost the more smug the person is.

Easiest way to spot a PC Elitist is noticing them putting their PC specs on their profile.

I laugh when I see gamefly commercials.

I hate when people who basically only play CoD/sports games consider themselves gamers. Most of the time these are kids who also play sports and whatnot irl.
You're not a gamer unless it's all you do. Like me for instance, my day consists of waking up, playing some games, going to school, coming home and playing some games, eating, playing some games, and sleeping. I am a gamer, not these console cigarettes who sit town to 30 minutes of a game and then talk about their "leet 360 noscope headshot richards in butt"

I totally consider computers better than consoles. There are very, very few games that I prefer on console, one of which is the Assassin's Creed series. My preferred console is the 360 when I actually use one.

Exactly, if you want the highest quality you have to pay more.
The quality of the console more or less depends on the game you're playing; Grand Theft Auto IV will look better than Sid Meier's Pirates. Whether it runs better also depends on the game.

If I remember someone one here purchased 16gb of ram, talk about a waste.

my gamecube still works like new and i've had two or three computers since i got it

16 is a lot. but 8gigs is already a minimum.
many high end gamers should be rocking 12gigs on average nowaways.
16 wont be that much an overkill is just a year from now.

i would loving love 16

I will live in fear of the worlds first game that eats up a Terrabyte.

That really isn't that much.
Especially when you have a metric stuff tonne of games on steam or just installed in general.
You also have to account for music if you have a lot of it. And all the other stuff.
