Author Topic: Why so popular, You Gaming Console?  (Read 1864 times)

I prefer consoles for a few reasons:
1. I like the controllers.
The controllers make the games feel more realistic somehow, and they just feel better anyways than the keyboard and mouse.
2. I don't have to worry about whether or not I can run a new game.
Any game on a console will work because it was specifically tested for that console. With my laptop, I could very easily buy a game and then find out I can't play it.
3. No installation.
In the PC, you have to install every game you play. With a console, all you have to do is insert a disc and it's played straight from the disk.

However, I do like PCs better for RTS games such as Starcraft.

For PC you can get FREE games its called PIRATING (thas how u spell it right?)

But, I don't do it, trust the grammar national socialist (just kidding) I heard of it but im to lazy to do all of that stuff

I honestly don't see how the lack of installation is a plus.
I like to have my games on the computer and not have to worry about having the disc.

Especially since I lose game discs a lot.
A lot a lot

He copied dat floppy

I laugh when I see gamefly commercials.

I hate when people who basically only play CoD/sports games consider themselves gamers. Most of the time these are kids who also play sports and whatnot irl.
You're not a gamer unless it's all you do. Like me for instance, my day consists of waking up, playing some games, going to school, coming home and playing some games, eating, playing some games, and sleeping. I am a gamer, not these console cigarettes who sit town to 30 minutes of a game and then talk about their "leet 360 noscope headshot richards in butt"

I totally consider computers better than consoles. There are very, very few games that I prefer on console, one of which is the Assassin's Creed series. My preferred console is the 360 when I actually use one.
The thing is they are games... who manage to have lives like you too.

Total Lies. I love gaming. I spend 1/3 of my life playing Blockland, 1/3 sleeping, and 1/3 playing Ice Hockey. Actually. You're right. I'm not a gamer. Your logic makes more sense.

That really isn't that much.
Especially when you have a metric stuff tonne of games on steam or just installed in general.
You also have to account for music if you have a lot of it. And all the other stuff.
on my 360 GB hard drive I have 200 GB of games

on my 360 GB hard drive I have 200 GB of games
Seeing as windows reserves like 40GB to its self, I highly doubt that.

I never loose disks.
They are always stored in a very specific place with me. 10 points if you can guess where.

Consoles play the games. Period. No messing with files, just boot it up and you are playing. The reason why they are so much cheaper is because they are less powerful than a decent gaming PC (as such low cost), but the games are optimized for that performance. You can't buy an Xbox 360 with a less powerful processor.

Also Nintendo's proposed HD console uses a god damn tri-core PowerPC processor made by IBM.

It's illegal, you can get your internet turned off, and not every PC magically connects to the web.
