Author Topic: Lego Rock Raiders forgeted up my Quake!  (Read 2625 times)

So I installed Lego Rock Raiders and I was unable to get the game to work, the game does not start. So I gave up, restarted the computer and went to play Quake from my Steam library.

Now every time I play quake I hear the Lego Rock Raiders main theme just playing in the background! I don't understand anything anymore.

Un-Install Both games and try to save your saves if you can
then re-install

This may sound odd but it actually sort of fits into quake.

Did you make sure you didn't install lego rock raiders into quake's directory? :cookieMonster:

Yes I made sure but holy stuff the entire rock raiders soundtrack is now playing in Quake.

Each level plays a different soundtrack.

Only this would happen to lord tony.

It's not like I can explain it, this is incredibly odd.

Eject your Rock Raider's disk or disable CD music in Quake's options.

I uninstalled rock raiders then as I went to play Quake it wouldn't start it went into a never ending loading phase.

Then I ejected my disk and went to play Quake and it finally worked properly with no added music.

This is the first and only time I have ever encountered a game corrupting another game before. I would of kept the Rock Raider music playing anyways but it just doesn't fit into quake so it pisses me off.

This sounds like an experience I had years ago in Half-Life. I began my multiplayer server to play LAN with my friend and I heard music playing in the map when I joined from my computer. I never remembered music on this map though. I went over to where my friend was and heard no music coming from his computer. Then I ejected the disc drive and found a music CD in there that was my brother's and the music stopped. It was pretty interesting.

If I recall, Quake automatically plays songs from disk drive.

God, I remember Lego Rock Raiders. I always thought the game was bugged to forget. I was told to get the drilling vehicle behind walls of rock, but it wouldn't let me mine any of them, so I was stuck. Then again, I was bad at directions back then. In Harvest Moon, I'd be confused why I wasn't getting money from the guy every nightfall at the crops box thing. But still.

I can play Lego rock raiders by putting the disk in then popping it out
and thats the only way too

Now I'm tempted to try playing Quake with Rock Raider's music.

I'm just too lazy to search for the disk though.

I have no idea where the disc is.
