Author Topic: So my crappy slide phone broke.  (Read 3211 times)

My slide phone (Samsung Intensity) had my school ID card jammed in it a couple days ago when I pulled it out of my pocket.
I'm like "oh whatever" and pulled the ID card out. Turns out that ripped out the cable that holds together the top and bottom half, so it's like using a computer without a monitor, or a way to turn it on.
On the brighter side, my dad was gonna surprise me with an iPhone but he's gonna do it earlier. I might get the iPhone 5 when it comes out if I save up and pay the difference - originally he was gonna get me an iPhone 4 when it went on sale for the release of 5, but I said "ohey wel what if i pay the diferenc" and he's like "oh ok col"
SO.
I was considering a Droid phone, but what with the enormous app store for iOS, the fact that I'm making an iphone game right now, and iOS 5 coming out, I'm going for the iPhone.

> jailbreak the iPhone
> iOS 5 is lovey
> the new hardware is good

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one.

Samsung decided to only replace my phone 2 times. The third time I was forgeted.
This was the third time.

i have an iphone 4, if i cans save up enough cash i can upgrade to 5. it's not like i have an apps i give a stuff about that i can't just re-download onto a new phone for free.

Free gets you a lot.

When you sign up for iCloud, you automatically get 5GB of free storage. And that’s plenty of room, because of the way iCloud stores your content. Your purchased music, apps, books, and TV shows, as well as your Photo Stream, don’t count against your free storage. Since your mail, documents, Camera Roll, account information, settings, and other app data don’t use as much space, you’ll find that 5GB goes a long way. And if you need more storage, you can easily purchase a storage upgrade right from your device.

I have a Samsung Intensity. How the forget did you fit a plastic card between the two halves? Sounds like it was already wearing out if it was spread like that. Seriously.

Noep.
It was the thickness of a credit card, and I found it frequently slipping into the phone.
I had only had this phone for less than a year, because the other 2 were forgeted as I said. So it wasn't very worn. :o

i was actually thinking more along the lines of not letting them store all my stuff online and transferring it manually, like a badass.

I've had mine like two years, and you couldn't fit a credit card between the parts. Seriously, you wore yours out. Don't blame the phone, it's not that crappy.

It's pretty damn crappy, even when not worn out.
And uuhhh. Are you sure? It was really easy, and the parts seemed nice and tight.
