Author Topic: So my crappy slide phone broke.  (Read 2755 times)

I've had mine like two years, and you couldn't fit a credit card between the parts. Seriously, you wore yours out. Don't blame the phone, it's not that crappy.
When did he ever directly blame the phone? And why are you getting so worked up over this? :o

It's pretty damn crappy, even when not worn out.
And uuhhh. Are you sure? It was really easy, and the parts seemed nice and tight.

It can't do video and it can't zoom. That's all I dislike about it. Seriously, I can't get anything between them. Yours was already breaking at the time.

How does that imply in any way that he thinks it was the phone's fault? Maybe he didn't like it. Maybe he wasn't satisfied with it. Christ, think before getting so worked up over something like this.

He called the phone crappy, citing it breaking from a card. What are you going on about?

I have no idea what you're talking about now.

Flip phones are where its at, forget them slides and touches.

My slide phone (Samsung Intensity) had my school ID card jammed in it a couple days ago when I pulled it out of my pocket.
I'm like "oh whatever" and pulled the ID card out. Turns out that ripped out the cable that holds together the top and bottom half

You can not fit a plastic card between the two halves normally, you can't with mine. He is calling it crappy and saying it broke by means that shouldn't be possible. What are you going on about?

you can do SOOO much with android.
Fun things like installing different android ROMs just to get updates!  I'd prefer Apple's official support for everything for a phone.  You can't simply change your phone's hardware like a computer, I don't like the whole multiple device idea.

I love android!

What I don't love is
Fun things like installing different android ROMs just to get updates!

My phone company holding back on software updates because they don't feel like updating the proprietary bloatware they install with my the phone like the Blockbuster app. I mean, who even goes to blockbuster anymore? I thought they were out of business.

I also hate having my battery life decreased by these applications and services that they determined were so "essential" or had features "frequently demanded by our customers" that they decided that they had to make them impossible to uninstall.

I also hate having to void my warranty in order to root my phone so I can uninstall these stupid applications and get all those updates. I was considering doing this at one time but I dropped my phone and cracked the screen. I've got it replaced now but I don't know what I would have done without the warranty. Bought a new phone I guess. I'm not really interested in rooting it now if it means I have to give up having the screen replaced when I drop it. I'm sure there's a way to reset it to factory defaults but I'm worried there's some kind of hardware thing that will trip if I root it, kind of like how unlocking ATI video cards permanently unlocks them and probably voids certain sections of your warranty (I wouldn't know, I didn't read the warranty for my graphics card).

On the other hand I think the default home screen on the iphone looks like utter stuff and so do many of the home screens I've seen on jailbroken ones. I also think that Apple puts a lot of totally stupid restrictions on their phone. So I guess androids got that going for it.

Those are just my complaints though and they're meaningless, you should just go to a store and pick up the different phones and buy whatever phone you like best. If you've already decided on an iphone more power to you, that simplifies your decision a lot since the phones are functionally identical.

Fasdgasdg.
Guise.
I don't like the phone.
The prebuilt OS or whatever they're trying to pass it off as is really slow and glitchy, and the corners and dpad thingy get scratched easily.
But um. That's weird :o
I can do it really easily.

@Wedge: Yeah, I'll probably get an Android-based phone in the future, but for now the app store and updating are better on an iPhone. And you can jailbreak it and get some nice-looking lockscreens.

Yeah, I wish the iPhone had the widgets or whatever like Android does.  Also, I wish there was a way to get the more windows style of non-square icons.

With the different phone company warranties like you just posted about, aren't restrictions about the same?  Or are you talking about with the app store?  You have to appreciate the "no more fart apps" rule with that though.  Speaking of fart apps, Android has no "Bacon Farts" app, thus iPhones are much superior.

The new lockscreen is going to have a notification center that you can open extremely easily, letting you access stocks, emails, texts, and stuff like that.
Even the weather and news.

Yeah, I was going to say something like that originally, but that's not really the home screen.  I want some more info on the home screen.

Or you could just get a flip phone.

The lockscreen? :L
Or your apps?
Because the notification center is available no matter where you are on your iPhone.
