Xbox 360: Cannot connect to XBOX live

my xbox screen looks like this



connecting the ethernet cable into my laptop

xbox.com hasnt been doing anything and neither has google, youtube, etc.

when i plug in the ethernet cable the computer doesnt recognize it. theres no local area connection in my network settings

im using this



I've tried a bunch of different ways and no luck.

Um, have you used it before like that? Because I believe that the port on your laptop is for input not output. If you have had it work like that then I have no idea.

It worked fine yesterday and I made no changes to it.

doesnt matter anyways, i just bridged the connections and it worked

locking.
