Black Shades
This game won the UDev Game Contest in 2002.
There is one guy in a white suit, you are one guy with a gun or knife, fists or grenades. Oh, you also has mind powers. There are lots of civlians, then there are people trying to kill the man in the white suit. You have to protect the guy in the white suit with your handy dandy knife/fists/guns/mental powers/grenades. As soon as the guy in the white suit dies, you lose.
Weapons (that I have found)
- Assault Rifle - Very fast shooting gun, you will have to keep it steady for aiming
- Knife - Short range, go right up to the enemy and slash them
- Semi-Auto Shotgun - About 7 shots per clip, usually an instant kill, most certainly at close range. Also has strong recoil.
- Grenades - You just throw them and they blow up. Large explosion though, and its the only way you can die.
- Pistol - Weak 2 shot weapon with medium recoil. Sucks on zombie levels
- Fists - You don't actually punch people, you just go up to them and take their gun from them.
- Hunting Rifle - Large scoped weapon.
- Magnum - By far the most badass weapon on the game. Minimal recoil, one shot kill and a decent sized clip.
All guns have about 3-4 clips (unless you get the fists and then pick up a gun, then you only get one clip). Sometimes, the game will randomize the clip amount though.
Combat
The people who try to kill the guy in the white suit will look the same as all the rest of the civilians, but they hold guns and usually run (excpet on zombie maps!). When they get close enough for a shot, a blue line will appear from them aiming at your VIP. It will get smaller and redder until they shoot, they will usually get him in one shot, so be on your toes. You can, however, step in the way of the bullet, then you will get shot.
You cannot die unless you get blown up by a grenade.Enemies (that I have found)
- Rifleman - Has the hunting rifle and a really long range, hardest guys to get if you don't have a good weapon.
- Shotgunner - Has a shotgun, medium range.
- Pistolero - Very short range and has a pistol.
- Crazy Knifer - Will literally run as fast as he can in a b-line for your VIP. He has a knife so be careful.
- Discreet Knifer - Very difficult to distinguish in a crowd, he walks a little faster then normal though. He has a knife.
- Slow Zombie - Walks towards your VIP then tries to eat him. He is slow.
- Fast Zombie - Runs towards your VIP and tries to eat him. He is fast.
All human enemies will die on the first death and not respawn. Zombies come back to life after about 5 seconds until you blow off their head.
The Terrain
Always a city, the maps are randomly generated withe a sidewalk, large boxes that simulate buildings, and a large center road (no cars).
Mind Powers
Yup, your guy is some sort of magical mind-bending badass.
- Mental Fling - Fling people in a small radius. They will stay down for about 3 seconds.
- Time Slow - Slow down town for a short period. As soon as you shoot, it ends, but if you are just running, it will stay on for about 7 seconds.
- Soul Fly - Fly outside your body. Its like being on acid and your eyes are bleeding.

Tips (nubs
Tackle your VIP to protect him from bullets, but be advised assassins with knives can still kill him.
Mental throw groups in times of danger.
Handguns are weak, if you shoot someone with a knife while they are near your VIP, they can still knife him. The assassin will die, but so will your VIP.
You have ammo for godsake
Slowing down time help a whole bunch, it gives you time to steady yourself if you have bad aim
ALWAYS RUN, don't try to reach the guy who's running at your VIP with a knife by walking. Runrunrun
Watch out for the dudes with knifes that walk slow, very dangerous.
You can drop and pickup weapons. Crouch and press 'q'.
You can punch people anytime by running and clicking
Controls
WASD = walk
shift = run
mouse = look
control = crouch/zoom
click = fire (while aiming) or smash (while running) or pick up gun (while crouching over a body and not aiming) or disarm (while not aiming)
q = aim or un-aim (important for picking up guns)
r = reload
e = time slow
z = toggle soul flying
space = dive (while running forwards)
f = mental fling
b = permanent slow mo

Go here And select your platform (no linux). Most Badass Things To Do
1. Get a magnum or pisotl, go into slow-mo, kill 5 guys in one second
2. Get a magnum, tackle a zombie or human, shoot them in the head 5 times while they are still down
3. Tackle your VIP, then proceed to kill the 20 snipers around you with your pistol
4. Time slow tackle your VIP right as someone is about to shoot him, then knife the person who was about to shoot him
5.
go into slow motion and headshot 8 enemies so their heads explode
6.
Instead of tackling, disarm a person and shoot him in the head with his own weapon while he is on the ground.
7.
shoot a guy
pop his head before he hits the ground
8.
throw grenade into crowd of civilians
they all are assassins and blow up
