Author Topic: Birthday coming up, wanting to upgrade my graphics card.  (Read 4866 times)

I can understand your choice seeing as you have the 40 to spare, it's a lot more future proof.

May I suggest that whilst a 500W should be good enough for your system, to prevent anything going wrong, I'd get at least a 550W:

It's also modular.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED.
My dad ended up getting a Radeon HD 6450.
Works very well, but I did use the power supply that someone suggested.
I'll upload a video soon c:

So you went thru all that just to get a low end card?...

I've got an idea. Don't be like all of us and want everything for the sole purpose of computers. Get something in the real world you want.

These are my top three things for me:
Bose Headphones [good ones]
B3
A Unicycle

It is quite low end, man.
It's the kind I'd expect in mid-ranged laptops if they didn't have an Intel chipset built-in.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't think it was worth upgrading personally for such a small change in power.

What resolution and detail?
Aw man.
I play on high detail with my resolution at..
lemme check.

A decent gpu is at least $200, good is $500, highend is ... Well, expensive.

Are you loving kidding me? Bump everything down a notch. High end ones are at least 200 and expensive ones are at least. Decent gpus are in the 100 range
