Author Topic: What Do You Consider the Most Important Aspect of a Video Game?  (Read 2006 times)

hey now lets not fill the diaper with feces just yet.
?

gameplay is extremely vague and broad.

A good storyline
Also cool stuff like easter eggs or intel in CoD 4.

I'm going to have to say that it has to have nothing stolen, it has to be a new concept.
For example, the Half-Life series. They had some very nice, game enhancing stuff in there that you had to figure out for yourself.
It also gives me a slight feeling of strangeness, and how a lot of things were homemade.
Like the gravity gun, airboat. Also, I have not forgotten of Portal. The turrets, the portal gun, etc. were a totally new concept. I just love it when a game has new, strange content.

Graphics and gameplay. Also story.

it needs to have a disc
No it doesn't, it could be on a cartridge.

The Characters Don't Go Like This.
it's a title damn it

anyway, i'd have to go with gameplay.

Both story and gameplay.

I don't have a clue, I'd simply pick individual aspects and work the clay.  Can't have too much or too little, you have to get it just right (According to what type of game it is)

hey now lets not fill the diaper with feces just yet.

lolwut? Why do you hate disk-less games?

EDIT:

Whoa, didn't see the second page...

EDIT:

I look for multiple of the options in the poll, like replayability, gameplay, and originality.

Replay value goes hand in hand with gameplay, good gameplay=replay value, unless it's a game where everything derives fun from simplicity, like a quick flash game.

Exactly. Gameplay should be a higher priority over replay value. Who the hell would replay a game that sucked?

Graphics a close second, but Gameplay. If you can't play it, do magnificent graphics, presentation etc. matter?
