The United States was a major deciding factor. Many of it's people were desperate for work and after pearl harbor, they were willing to fight. Their factories went into overdrive and their innovation which the American people are truly gifted went into full swing. Everyone was put back to work/sent to war. Plus Britain released the majority of it's naval bases to the US. The combined force of both navies were more than enough to secure domination of the sea and severely cripple the national socialist war effort.
Besides, the US was funding great Britain anyway even before their official declaration of war against the Japanese Empire and national socialist Germany. It was American industrial strength and manpower that played the most critical role in the war, in addition to Soviet intervention.
I also find it funny how the situation in the OP says that Riddler could have just waited for communism to fall, as if his facist dictatorship wouldn't have fallen long before.
The whole ideology is
