Apple doesn't do new anymore.
Instead, they just copy other people, but everything they make is popular.

It works for them. In this day and age you cannot expect or hope any company will ever do something that doesn't have to solely do with them getting more money.

Its like the xbox 360 Slim and Genesis CD - piling a bunch of stuff on top of the existing platform to extend its life. However the Slim was kind of necessary since the older 360 was a somewhat flawed design.
