He's right, you know. How would gay marriage even threaten traditional marriage? Do they advertise it? "Straight from the Closet to the Altar! Gay's the Way!". Are people afraid that, in all the 'confusion' of men marrying men and women marrying women, that they may forget they're heteroloveual and marry someone of the same gender? :u
Haha, that's exactly what I'm thinking. Someone was once like "Well if we allow gay marriage then children will think it's right to live that way." And I was kind of like, so what? If straight people see gay people getting married or whatever, they're not going to "accidentally" become gay. I mean forgetting your loveuality is like forgetting where you put your arm. It doesn't happen, it's always there. You might be confused about your loveuality, but you know you're confused.
I say let them get married because it's not like this generation can keep a stable marriage anyway, might as well let them be happy for a short while.
I'm confused by this logic. Hypothetically, if current trends showed that people were having longer, more stable, meaningful, happy marriages, then we
shouldn't allow gay people to be married because society has already reached its happiness quota?
