My Core 2 Duo in my server rack runs at 30c, stock clock of 2.66 GHz.  I could probably bring it up to 4 as well lol.

Doesn't overclocking reduce the computer's lifespan by wearing it out more? :o

Only if it gets to high temperatures.

Just using your computer can shorten its lifespan.

Yes, and if it's hot while being overclocked that much, it lowers the lifespan even more.
I can get my Phenom X4 3.2GHz up to 4GHz if I wanted, I've done it before, but I keep it at stock for the sake of my processor.

I have the unlocked edition of that processor as well. I haven't overclocked it yet.

Edit:

Misread it. I'm surprised you don't have the unlocked edition. I thought you have to have it unlocked to overclock.

That's why i never use the computer, I send a letter in the post to random people asking them to go to websites and tell me what's happening.

Ya, and you look up research on the internet by sending letters to girls. and wait for nudes.

This is the best way to browse the web.

This is a pretty nice overclock for my starting, i'm aiming 5GHZ on air from bulldozer if i get a shot of bulldozer.
