Not necessarily. Cook was already in the CEO position, and because Jobs was simply the chairman, he didn't have any influential strong ties with the company anymore, besides his name. I don't think the company will suffer too much, although, hopefully, the market will mourn the loss.

Yeah, anything Apple puts out will sell, even if it's just a bit better.

If I were to buy an iPhone, I would wait until every major update, like iPhone 3, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, rather than iPhone 3, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS...
