I sit out on the Tarmac on a little makeshift seat I made looking for the returning aircraft.

My wingmen finish their bombing run, and shortly report their status over the radio. One had an engine disabled, and another had his starboard wingtip shot off and lost control of his right rudder. The last wingman had his aircraft peppered with holes and sustained a bullet to the hip. One pilot in the escort group had his BVR radar assembly shot through. All-in-all, everyone makes it through without losing aircraft or dying.

"This is Uzi 1-1, all flight elements regroup and return to base. Good shooting everyone. Let's call it a day."

I switch to the AWACS channel.

"This is Uzi 1-1, requesting vector to home plate."

The once-Invincible Fleet is now reduced to a smoldering wreckage, bleeding out oil at the bottom of a bay. After the work we did, I think a warm meal and a long nap are well in order.

Out of the 8 aircraft originally brought out to fight, I'm the last one in line to land. And not a moment too soon, either. Just 3% left on the fuel gauge. I follow the ILS glideslope indicator and align myself with the runway for a landing. Pop the spoilers and reduce speed to 200kts. Lower the flaps, extend the gear ... the landing gear lights are still yellow ... The gear is stuck halfway out refuses to budge any further. The flaps don't extend fully, and the control surfaces on my A-10 stop working.

"stuff! I'm losing hydraulic pressure!"

I suddenly panic as I begin to lose control of the A-10. My port aileron droops down and causes the aircraft to slowly roll left. Right around 300 feet, I eject from the roosterpit. I feel my stomach sink down into my intestines as I'm shot skyward. Down below, the A-10 spins out of control and crashes into the grass on the right of runway 09.

"forget!"

"Oh stuff!" I say as I call for help and dart out to the runway.

"Uzi 1-1 has crashed, repeat, Uzi 1-1 has crashed, send a team immediately!"

I touch down. Immediately, I throw my arms up and yell out, "GOD DAMMIT!" Then, I remember that I stowed away Toby's TDI Vector inside of the A-10. I get down on my knees throw my arms up again, shaking them to the sky. "GOD DAMMIT!"

I slowly walk back to the barracks with my head lowered. I get out of my uniform, take a shower, and lie in bed. I can still hear the fire sirens wailing outside.

"Oh, stuff, Uzi 1-1's crashed. This is not good."
I taxi to the hangar and head for the smoking wreckage.

Downloading Assult Horizon demo!:D

I grab my crutches and make my way outside. I see a burning A-10, and immediately know it is Uzi 1-1. However, the fire was not very intense, and fire trucks were getting it under control.

I hobble up to a a fireman. "hey, when will you get this under control?" He responds; "Its almost out. Why?" "I need to see if something survived in the roosterpit." "Alright." I hobble away again, and stand and watch them douse the flames with foam.

I walk over to Toby, "What's wrong man?"

((-There's only 1 mission in the demo (F-22) but Jesus forget its amazing-))

"You will see."

The fire man tells me its safe, and he hands me a fire resistant glove. I hobble over to the charred roosterpit, knowing it is surrounded by titanium. I reach through the open roosterpit, and pull a smoking gun out. The paint is burned off but otherwise everything looks fine.

"See? The designers were clever. These guns use stamped parts, based off the legendary Kalashnikov designs. He borrowed this from me because he couldn't find his. C'mon, let's see if it'll still fire." I start hobbling back inside, towards the firing range, handing the glove back.
