no, i can not.

Well if you can't do it, you can't expect the game to.  Your user account needs to have permission to write to your home folder.

I have the same problem, I downloaded the hash file but I am confused as to whether or no I should put it somewhere specific? The Blockland foldr in 'Documents' was created for me, but no 'Add-Ons' folder was created so I made one myself and added the hash to it, that didn't work. I also extracted the files in the hash and repackaged them into 'Brick_V15.zip' that did not work either. Log is below, it's mostly a stuffcrap of spam about how I couldn't download blobs because no connection to the server was ever established.

You will not be able to create all the game files manually, so don't bother.  The point of trying to create the folder is to see if you actually have permission to create files there.

Not sure if it helps, but I had the same error... but it was just my firewall blocking the launcher's connection.

... /helpful.

whoops, i was looking in the wrong place. heres my launcher.log

Is there a specific place that the launcher searches for the hash file?

I'm having the same problem, I'm on a Mac and there is no where to put the Brick_V15.zip file.

Here is my launcher.log

I was able to download that file fine but it didn't do anything, I got the same error.

I also tried making an exception for the BL Launcher in my firewall like Jerkface, and it didn't change anything. Though i looked at my firewall log and the last two things it denied were my attempts at opening the launcher.

I'm sorry if this sounds stupid, but how do I access my firewall on my Mac?

Ignore that, I figured it out and I added an exception to my firewall. Didn't change anything.

This is going to take ages to fix isn't it...

I have already identified the problem.  Your documents folder is read only or your user account does not have permission to write to it.

Thanks for not reading my replies.

The step after identifying the problem is helping one fix it.

I have read all of your replies on this topic and followed them as best as I could, and nothing has changed. I understand that many people are complaining and you must be frustrated, but I am not bashing V20; I just want to get it working.

I am the only user on my computer and thus Administrator. I have set my Documents folder and me Downloads folder to read and write fro everything I possibly could and still nothing works.

Can you create new folders in your Documents folder?
