Ok, so my computer is dead. What happened was I came home from school to find my wireless adapter for my mouse and keyboard off, rendering both of them useless. I don't think much of it. I unplug the wires and the computer and blow out the ports and plugs thinking it's probably just dust hindering the connection. After several rounds of this I finally get the thing working.
Relieved and thinking I'm out of the woods, I decide to play Rise of Nations. About 15 minutes into the game, my computer goes into sleep mode which is odd because it's obviously not supposed to do that if it is receiving input from my mouse and keyboard. When this happens I notice that the wireless adapter is off again and so after more unplugging, inspecting the wires etc, I manage to get it on one more time and the same thing happens. It's late so I say forget it and go to bed.
The next morning I turn it on again and I decide to run a virus scan, knowing that if it just goes into sleep mode it will just run in the background and I can turn it back on and inspect the results later. As I go back to turn it off and back on (because it's the only way to temporarily get the wireless adapter working) it doesn't turn on at all. The lights indicating that it has been turned on light up but non of the fans or internal hardware work at all.
Any idea what has caused this? My computer is only 2 years old and is in relatively good condition. But things like the monitor, speakers, mouse and keyboard etc are a lot older.
