Author Topic: Theory of relativity proven wrong  (Read 2326 times)

Apparently at CERN they've been able to isolate a particle known as a neutrino that can move faster than the speed of light. I've heard a few different reports and I don't know if they're credible but if this is true than this means science is about to be shaken to it's core. I read like one article in the New York Times about it. I'm not really a physics junkie but anyway discuss.

so wait did the particle like go back in time or something

so wait did the particle like go back in time or something
Time travel time woo

so wait did the particle like go back in time or something

It'd be like you hearing me smash a wall 60 nanoseconds before seeing it.

FTL travel is possible now?

Oh great. Now we have to redo science.
Oh physics, how confusing you are.
Oh well, progress can't be stopped. This is really weird though.

No, when something travels faster than light, to it, time slows down so it isn't traveling faster than light.
Apparently.

aren't neutrinos like, energy
which, as with light, moves at the speed of light

Kinda old, but interesting.

I did an English journal on this for current events last month

aren't neutrinos like, energy
which, as with light, moves at the speed of light

I have no idea

I have no idea
I do know that energy in general moves at the speed of light
I'm just not sure what neutrinos are

aren't neutrinos like, energy
which, as with light, moves at the speed of light

irrelevant, they accelerated these PAST the speed of light

I do know that energy in general moves at the speed of light
I'm just not sure what neutrinos are

Dude, energy has MANY forms

and

irrelevant, they accelerated these PAST the speed of light

Basically this means that 100 years of modern science is wrong. :/
