Author Topic: Why do young gamers never explore?  (Read 2544 times)

I finish games first, and then go back to explore everything once I'm done.
Unless it happens to be Fallout 3.

People no longer play games to have fun

It seems biased to refer to the two types as "Amateur" and "Mature" when referring to how you spend your time playing a game.
Mature meaning Older Gamers
Amateur meaning Younger Gamers

You're telling me, I've watched newer gamers play things like STALKER SoC.
Jesus loving christ, by the time they get to the army warehouses and fighting Freedom they've only just managed to get a slightly better suit than the STALKER suit, and they haven't even got the unique AK-74 from Strelock's stash, it's loving terrible

Age should not be considered a factor.

Depending on the game, I'll go through it once for the story and a second or more for the fun.

Younger people are to focused on winning. I savor game experiences as much as I can, even Fallout is a game I refuse to finish.

It won't lock your file if you beat it, you'll just restart from the latest save point before fighting the boss if you reload the file

I beat him, but then I got pissed because it ended there.

I mean, I did that like a year ago.
My brother overwrote my save file, so now I have to do it aaaallllll ovvveerrrrrrr

I search through EVERYTHING in case there's a chance of something useful.
This is both a curse and a blessing in Amnesia. A few more tinderboxes could mean safety, or another encounter with a monster could mean death.

i play games and look for everything and get stuck trying to get an extra sometimes

If I ever have kids, I'll expose them to good games like Oblivion and Diablo 2.  Hopefully breeding out the need for peasant tier games such as CoD.

COD, in my opinion, is a good timewaster. It's not fun if you play it for more than an hour though, kind of like puzzles. You find some pieces, and then you're like "forget this stuff I have better things to do", and then you try again later.

This,
I object to this statement. I explore almost everything, and I am approximately a month from 13. I do it all the time... Anyways I picked Mature because of this.
