Ugh I aways get DNS Trobbles on my home network
Any tips?

What's with all the horror stories of computer parts? I hear of (above) busted pins, more DOAs for power supplies on the net than positive reviews, things not fitting in cases and parts catastrophically going out in a blaze of glory. I also hear about having to review a chart the size of a Farmer's Almanac to make sure if your ATI (random numbers) is compatable with your (random hieroglyphics) motherboard and (bizzare alien grunt utterance) power supply and whibble like that.

Maybe I should slink on back to console territory. I don't want my computer to start hissing and popping and firing cogs out the USB port if I happen to get a RAM stick that was accidentally made with C4 instead of gold for the circuits.

Also everything is hella expensive but I'm nearing the age of being able to sell my soul to Burger King so no biggie.

my heatsink fan also completely blew and couldn't clip into place what-so-ever

and my motherboard broke, today is the first day back on my computer since christmas because i got a new one lol

I've had terrible experiences and nothing ever goes right for me

thank god my neighbor is really smart with computers, he fixed up everything for me. You know what most comptuer services charge to install hardware? $50 per piece which can tally up to $500 to build your comp for you LOL

$50 per piece

Seriously? I better start a business then because I wouldn't mind doing it for $50 all together lol.

Geek squad charges that as well, it's ridiculous.

i thought processors were hard to fix and sht

I assume so. I returned mine for a refund because it shipped broken.

By my quote I mean they charge that much to physically install hardware into your computer. So lets say you got a new psu, cpu, and gpu and you need it installed. They'd charge you $150 for simply putting 3 new things in and taking your old components out, nothing to do with fixing processors.

Good news everyone! I finally have the money for my build. I know there are build recommendations in the OP, but I want to make sure I'm getting the most for my money. Will the $500 build be suitable for playing BF3, MW3, Skyram and Minecraft (at high fps :3)? I wish to have two monitors also (not while playing the games though) .

Also farts.

Depends if you're planning to buy the monitors.
And yes, it should play all the games you listed very well.

Probably high on most games but the more graphic intensive ones medium-high on some games. Probably high on MW3 but maybe 40-50 fps in BF3. In Skyrim on Ultra you would get about 30-45 fps so I would keep that on medium or high.

Enough space in your case, adequate PSU, no CPU bottleneck, latest OS?

Yup.
Don't Know what that is.
Pretty sure either you or KoopaScoopa told me it would work fine.
Windows 7.

So yeah.

Can anybody find an amazing router for me?

How good is it? This is the one I have.
Not bad. Good quality PSU.

1G or 100M?

So yeah.
You have a Phenom II if my memory serves me correctly.
The box with large cords is the PSU. Look on the bottom or side of it to determine the wattage.
Should say something like "MAX OUTPUT: ###W"
