My graphics card keeps overheating when I play Games. It is a XFX Radeon HD 6870. It's getting very irritating and I need some help.
Does the case itself have a decent airflow? This is one of the most common causes of overheating.
Does the fan control itself or do you have it manually set?
Is it overclocked at all?

am i stupid or is someone confusing a USB cable for an Ethernet cable?

What are you planning to do?

Run a lot of smaller games
(Blockland and others)

A lot of work with modeling and files for BL and such

I feel like the gateway would be better for the price

You are not stupid. They are confused as that is without a doubt a USB cable.

Yeah, but if you decide to play more demanding games (any game made within the last 2 years), the Intel HD Graphics won't cut it.
You couldn't watch movies in 1080p with the laptop monitor, unless you hooked it up to a TV or a 1920x1080 monitor. So why get it with the Blu-Ray drive?
If you want it though, go for it.

It is blue cable, must be Ethernet!

Actually, Ethernet isn't specific to one type of cable. You might actually be able to have Ethernet with a USB if you had special software and hardware.

My fan is controlled manually. It does have good airflow and no, it isn't overclocked.

Ethernet is a specification for the transmission of frames over a network.

PSU is just a tad overkill, a 600/650W should do it fine unless you're planning to use the SLI in the motherboard later on, then I'd definitely go for the 750W one.

Set the fan to automatically adjust.

Woot I succesfully installed my old GPU into my new pc. Lets hope it makes games run faster.
