Sorry I had too.

I have links there to good prebuilt brands, from there you can customize your own, or ask me for a recommended one to your price range.

Nice job, Ethan. This is really organized well.

Ethan, could you recommend me a good intel board on which I can upgrade my Sandy Bridge to an Ivy Bridge later. Also PCI-E 3?

What is a computer?

Honestly?

Why would anyone trying to build a computer need to read up on that. Oh well, guess its no worse than Mack's clan and Linux topics which cover the obvious.

I like how you have covered a broad budget range. This will be very helpful to a lot of people. I have a question though, about power supplies how does that work if you live outside of the USA? I imagine you have had to deal with NZ power sockets. :3

Do you have a PCI-E 16x slot free? What wattage is your power supply? Will your case fit a big card?
It's for the desktop. I'm not using any PCI-E slots atm. I'll upgrade the PSU if needed, but that would count into the budget too then.

It gives the definition of what a computer is. Lot of people just think its something that does stuff electronically, derp, even though it does that, it's not what it accurately does, or whatever.

Yeah, can be confusing.
Most people in NZ have at least one of those huge black power cables used. Could just use that. Just gotta make sure you buy a PSU that has a 120v to 240v switch as we here use 240v current, in America they use 120v.
Don't quote me on those figures, I just know it's 1XX something and 2XX something.

It's around 230v here in Sweden, at least.

OK so I'm requesting a list of Microprocessors for Socket Type 775. I don't give a forget about budget just start listing please.
And for some reason if you need my motherboard type for some reason beyond my comprehension its an IPIBL-LB

Total is $310 without the rebates (little over, if this isn't ok, tell me)
Total is $265 with rebates though.
