When Christmas comes I'll have enough for a 6950, but should I get just that or get a 6870 amd a  new mobo?
Because my current motherboard has been recycled ever since my first build years ago, it only has 2 SATA connectors, one is broken. I can't use my CD drive because I only have 1 SATA left and that's for my HD.

EDIT: I defiantly need a new motherboard, this is what happens when you don't manually set the clock to 3.2GHz.

I got a free HDD for my computer thanks to having a friend who had ties with Seagate who gave him free hard drives a while back thus causing him to have too many hard drives and therefore giving one to me. Run-on sentences are fun.

Most, as long as they aren't published by Microsoft or note explicitly that they need DX10 under the sysreqs.
That said, it doesn't support DirectX 10+ so the graphics might be worse.

That said, XP isn't even sold any more and there isn't really a reason to get it.
