It depends what your PSU is, I looked back and seen your CPU is a Phenom 9750, so I don't think it would be bottlenecked MUCH (i've been wrong about this before.)
Look around on your power supply and see if you can find somethings along the lines of "MAX. xxxW", "+12V1 xxA", or "+12V xxA".
Write those on a piece of paper and post them.

It's a 680 watt.

forget NO.

I was just building my computer, setting up the Motherboard box for a test setup outside the case. I turned around to get the box ready, and I turned back around to see my dad placed the motherboard on top of the anti-static bag. I panicked and took the board off.

But now, I"M AFRAID MY MOTHERBOARD FRIED FROM STATIC.

WHAT DO?

My dad didn't feel anything, what do? D:

Well, if it is fried, then you can blame your dad at least.  :cookieMonster:

It's an anti-static bag for a reason. That's where I put my motherboard when I built my computer.

Yeah but it's not anti-static on the outside, only the inside.

It's a 680 watt.
Well, that card would run on a 680 watt. It honestly depends on the 12V amperage.

It's a 680 watt.
That should be fine.
However, this card is faster, and for the same price:

And it also comes with a lifetime warranty.

Uh, it should be fine. That's what anti-static bags are for.

oh lol.

never mind then.

Another problem, when we're putting in the CPU, it fits in, but when we put the tension arm down, it feels like it's going to break and is really stiff. My dad thinks the CPU's in the wrong position and we're putting too much pressure. The notches are aligned and it's fully in the socket.

Why would you even think something called an anti-static bag would pose a static discharge hazard to your electronics?

oh lol.

If you know the CPU is place exactly as it is supposed to. Then the arm should have tension but it will click eventually.

If it's an AMD cpu you'll need a jackhammer to lock down the anything, especially the heatsink.

intel i5-2500k

AMD CPUs are really really hard to put in. Not initially, but when you pull the arm down, it takes a lot of force. It feels like you are going to break your motherboard.

EDIT: Just push a bit further, if you feel safe in doing so.
