Reinstall DirectX I guess?

Uhh. Yeah when I plug my earbuds in and turn on a song, music plays on both the External Speakers and the earbuds. why is this.
If you're on a Windows machine, I think you might have to disable the output of the speakers when you have your buds plugged in.
Taskbar > Speakers > Volume Control > Disable speakers?
Might not work for you, but did for me.

Is it possible for the hookups/jacks to wear out? On one of my computers(it's fairly old), sound wasn't working when I plugged in speakers/headphones. After some amount of fiddling, speakers worked.

Alternatively he could just unplug his speakers from the jack and plug the earbuds in there instead of going through such faffing about?

Hmm. The problem fixed itself.

So sorry guys about my absence. I was away.

But I'm back now so ask away lol

The forums look so different on NT 4.0 than they would on Windows 7

Sorry for the bump. I have been having technical dificulties with my 2008 model iMac and its colors on the display. When on mac os x the colors seem to get dark but when on my windows 7 partition the colors are normal. All is set default colorwise, I am at the point I am fed up with this persisting issue of not being able to see a simple photo taken in a dark enviroment. But, turned my mac on this morning and colors became normal. If you read this ethan can you see why this occurs and fyi I have one stuck pixel and this whole ordeal has been happening for about a year now and I am scheduled this saturday to bring my mac into apple under warranty. I just want to know now what the forget went wrong. If the gpu or something needs replacing this will make it the third time but I like my mac to much to give up on it.

Specs:
2.66ghz intel core 2 duo
2gb ram 800mhz ddr2
500gb internal hdd (replaced 6-7 months ago)
wowe no one needs to help my major flaw with my computer.  Update on that story is that I have restarted and it's being stupid damn colors again and it even affects my second monitor so it's not the mac itself but something along the lines of the GPU/display board.

Still is doing this all drivers are up to date I have my appointment still with apple this saturday at 10:15 AM CST.

Ninja:  Took a look at it again and it seems to as well forget up my attached display as I haven't looked at that while on mac osx.

Or perhaps it's just the colour settings that differ from different OSes?

And Straton, that build you had before was great, why did you give it up?
The PSU you have now is poop, CPU is complete overkill for a Minecraft server, you don't have a video card nevermind you have onboard, and the RAM is a tad overkill (doesn't hurt to have more but you can have too much.)

No it went back to normal there was a time when I owned the mac this never happened and I think it's pretty easy to tell when the time you can't see a dark picture when I have seen them plenty before on my mac and it randomly changed to normal when I restarted my mac so now it is just being random.

Reddit happened...
The reason for all of the ram is they suggested I run ramdisk which would ultimately run it faster.

Is it just running in a VM?
No, it's an absolute stuff laptop.

There's seriously no bottleneck from HDD to the Minecraft server. Your HDD can read/write faster than the software can produce it.

You can get a cheaper chassis if you want, but that one is fine.
PSU is a fine one, although the system could run on a 450W or 400W. Still an awesome PSU nonetheless.
Other than that, go for it.
