This summer I'm gonna clean out this old room and by then I'll probably need a new computer. My budget by then will probably be around $1,300. What can I get for that much in terms of Gaming? I probably won't be able to build it, and I'm not sure if the computer shop near here still builds them for you.

EDIT: What's the best program for checking your GPU heat and whatnot?

I didn't realize you could get a magical program for that. It seems to me like their would need to be some sort of hardware that checked this, and if you had it you would probably be able to access it without a program.

Your GPU, CPU, PSU, motherboard (and I believe RAM, a mega expensive sound card, etc.) have temperature diodes on them.

Diodes = Hardware

But okay I guess you would need some software for this.

Well I'm not sure what to call them. :|
They stick them in your hardware, they report the temperature to your motherboard, then this information can be accessed.
Your motherboard will automatically hit a kill switch to shut itself off instantly if your CPU temperature reaches extreme temperatures to prevent damage. Usually between 80-100c

How good is iBuypower? I've heard mixed opinions on it.

I finally raised enough money for a Phenom II X4 980 3.7GHz.
I can finally play games again. c:

Diodes =/= Hardware
Correction.

Diodes are in the hardware but they aren't hardware. They're just another electronic part.

Typically pretty good, provided you get a good deal on it. You
still get better components for your dollar than what you'd get from another brand like Dell.

I'm not sure if this fits here, but while using puppy linux, my mouse works for about 5 seconds until it just stops working.

Idears?

I think is drivers.

If I were you, I'd wait until the HD78XX series was released on Newegg and consider one of them.
Anyway, just make sure that your PC is powerful enough for the parts I have listed etc.

I'm looking to upgrade from my Radeon HD 6770, anyone got any recommendations? Under 200 if possible, tell me if not.
Also, my display driver keeps crashing randomly, anyone know why? I've tried updating and rolling the drivers back but it doesn't help. I haven't tried flashing the bios because I'll probably forget something up.
Wait for the HD7850, it should be within that price range.
What are the specs on the rest of your system?

Mouse and trackpad stop working. I have no more mices.

With a chance of corrupting your hard drive on instant shutdown.

They do. They don't come with software though. You're right.

Best power for money in a prebuilt but yeah, some bad cases.
