good cheap and comfortable circumaural or supra-aural headset.

That is the most comfortable motherloving headset you will ever use. It's got bad reviews because the cord is thin and handicaps don't take care of it.

Thanks for that tidbit about closing apps, but here's a picture of my start menu.  I have no icons on my desktop, only internet shortcuts to pages that I want to revisit within a week or share with someone at some point, or etc. miscellaneous items.  For all my programs that aren't Steam games, though...

So yeah the start menu is used pretty often unless you throw all of your icons on the desktop.
Then I highly suggest reading this: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/b8/archive/2012/05/18/creating-the-windows-8-user-experience.aspx
note the part about how most people just use the taskbar to launch applications.  Also, see the stuff about when the start button was introduced, how people completely hated it.  The same thing will probably happen for Windows 8.

not really
i wouldn't expect a program from the 1990's to work with a modern OS
I would from XP because it was made in 2001
i would expect a program from 2011 to work with 7.

The 7750 requires a minimum of a 450W PSU, so you should be fine.

Idiots don't know stuff on other forums

Intel and Nvidia own AMD and ATI in almost every aspect.

intel is faster and more energy efficient.
nvidia is more durable and more energy efficient.

as a result, you can also go with a cheaper powerbox due to the lower power requirements.

durability and energy efficiency is VITAL, especially in PCs.
it takes about 1-2 years to get your money back in your powerbill if you get an Intel rather than an AMD, depending on your energy provider and how much you use the PC.

also, dont forget about the operating temperatures...
it's less important in PCs than laptops; but it does play a roll.

with ATI/AMD your computer is going to be much more likely to OVERHEAT and CRASH! even WITHOUT over-clocking.
on top of it, in the summer time, while your in your room playing COD, your gonna be forced to strip down to your underwear or waste a ton of money on air conditioning.

Btw this is not me it's another noob

His forum name is hotnoob lawl

how do i hak ppl pls help

i would expect a program from 2011 to work with 7.
I do support for over 1000 PCs split about evenly between XP and 7. I can tell you that 7 is better in absolutely every respect and a lot easier to support. I've installed tons of programs and hardware on 7 and very rarely have I had something not install. Why don't you tell us what you're installing and maybe we can help.

How good does it run?
I haven't booted it up yet since I need to prepare some stuff first.

Is that the $50 computer or whatever?
Yea the Raspberry Pi, cost was £21.60
