I barely know anything about this but don't binary files have less stuff in them, making them smaller and more optimized?

no
if anything they're larger and unoptimized, on modern systems this isn't an issue
but plugins for apt-get decrease the size of them and get rid of these issues

the point is that they're removing the bits for other systems before they compile to a binary so they get a negligible speed boost.

Oh I know, thats exactly why I chose it. I'm probably gonna go for one of the msi ones. Most likely this one

Do it. You won't be disappointed

Hey guys, can you help me on which R7770 performs the best performance?

XFX Radeon 7770 Ultra Overclock Edition

Or

ASUS Radeon 7770 GHz Edition

Read the reviews, either product seems equally fine to me

Best Buy one has a slightly higher clock. Not sure if those stream processors are a good amount though.

I looked through several benchmarks in order to compare those. Get this one.

Just a faster memory clock. You won't get anything impressive out of an 7770. If I had the choice I'd go with a 6800.

Sorry if I forgot to state before, the price has to be <$150

Do new PC's come with a Firewire port? I'm getting a new PC in January when my dad gets his college money and I need a computer that will work with this firewire thingy I got.

Or could you guys suggest me parts for a decent computer under $500? I'm guessing that'll be the limit. My dad wants me to have a better computer so I can start getting back into mapping and such.
