Not specific really.
wait do they even do Radeon cards anymore?

Since supporting DirectX 10 or so, I believe all of their cards are Radeon HD branded.

nop

I've been recommending this card just because I wanted a decent card without overspending on power I didn't need. I really advocate this one since its not a power guzzler, and is significantly better than the similarly priced Nvidia counterpart.

Asus Radeon HD 7770 GHz 1GB (the one I've got) - $139.99

or

Asus Radeon HD 7770 GHz 2GB - $144.99

They are compatible with the specs I posted correct? If so I'll ask for the $144.99 one.

As long as your mobo has a PCI Express 3.0x16 slot, enough room in the case, and I think it needs at least 450W PSU then should do.

I know you can find the wattage inside the case, but can you find the PCI number, if so where?

I think looking up what it looks like and then looking in your case would be good.

Alright, thanks for the help erryone.

Im amazed at how good this computer is compared to my old one, didn't think the difference would be huge, but it is.

okay, i plan on downloading a copy of windows 8 for $40.

if i were to download a copy of windows 8 and then salvage upgrade my old pc would it still work?
i know vista wont work.

here's the upgrades if youre bored out of your mind.:
amd athlon first gen x2 processor > intel pentium g630 processor.
stuffty dell proprietary motherboard > msi uefi motherboard thats compatible with the processor.
9800gt > 9800gt
stuffty dell proprietary case > gigabyte mid tower case.
250 watt > 500 watt 80 plus bronze.
dell dvd drive > dell dvd drive.
3 ddr2 ram > 4 ddr3 ram.
dell vista > hopefully nearly fresh 8.

this upgrade will cost me $250 + the grim reaper coming and sucking a few hours of my life away.

It doesn't have to be PCI Express 3.0, as cards using 3.0 are backwards compatible with 2.0 and 2.1 slots. 3.0 only improved bandwidth so you wouldn't be losing much performance. as for the power supply, it's probably like a 300 watt, but I don't know.

I'm attempting to reduce the noise level of my computer, is there any way to fix a coil whine problem? And can someone recommend me some quiet 120mm and 200mm fans?
