is also an option if i decide not to get the upgrade at all and attempt this next year.

if you're wondering why there's no gpu thats because i'd already have the 660ti long before this build.
I HIGHLY recomend getting the blue version of that RAM. The 3 packs I got like that one stick was always defective.

Get a better motherboard, though its gonna add like 60 bucks to your price
i got like $900-1k to spend next year but i dont want to force it all the way.

im skeptical about the psu but thats just me.

id also rather order from amazon because forget shipping and taxes.

also itd be nice to have a case which tells you which kind of motherboard you should screw each power thing in.
like a b c d e f g labeled inside the case.

That psu is pretty good, seen it recommended quite a bit actually. The mobo is better, and also the ram you had before is fine. I have it and it works fine, and I've seen great reviews about it pretty much everywhere.

Newegg doesn't have taxes and either cheap or free shipping most the time.

Looked into why that would be, it's because you got a newegg warehouse in TN. That sucks because they're pretty much the best computer parts store around.

im so used to taxes being everywhere in tn (grocery stores best buys everylovingwhere) so i revised a bit.
idc for shipping and taxes.
but, im going to try to keep it in 3 online stores: ncix, amazon and newegg.

Im pretty sure all recent cases tell you where to put the standoffs now. You'll be fine sticking just to newegg they normally have the lowest prices plus they're customer service is spectacular.

so is amazons so im not missing out too much on cs and prices when i alternate.
also, good because the only two components im worried about loving up is the motherboard and cpu first time building.

Doesn't matter if you're worried about breaking it, things sometimes come  broken. I'm mostly a fanboy for newegg because I have never ever had a problem with them and I always get what I order in 2 days with standard shipping.
